Section II Soccer Talk w/ Jess Koehler of the Times Union

Ahhh, playoff time in full force across every sport in Section II!

Today, we take a look at the landscape across Section II soccer by bringing in Jess Koehler of the Albany Times Union.

She will be at the Class B and C boys' finals tomorrow morning/afternoon at Colonie High School.

Those games feature Greenwich and Greenville (C) and Schalmont and Broadalbin-Perth (B).

We asked her expectations on those contests and found out about some of the various upsets in Section II soccer this postseason.

No. 1 Maple Hill went down on the Class C boys' side while Ichabod Crane was the No. 2 in Class B. On the girls' side, Mohon topped No. 1 Scotia in Class A to advance to its first Sectional final.

We then moved to the Class AA boys', where Shaker takes on unbeaten Ballston Spa - and we found out about some of the top girls players in the area.
