Preakness Stakes winner Shackleford is set to take part in next Saturday's Belmont Stakes.

According to trainer Dale Romans, Shackleford will run the final leg of the Triple Crown if the colt comes out in good shape.  Shackleford passed his final test Saturday morning with a workout at Belmont Park.

With Shackleford set to go, it appears that the Belmont Stakes will be the rubber match of the Triple Crown between Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom and Preakness winner Shackleford.  It'll be the first time the Derby and Preakness winners face off in the Belmont since 2005, when Preakness winner Afleet Alex beat Derby winner Giacomo.

Entries and post positions will be drawn on Wednesday for the 143rd running of the Belmont Stakes.  You can hear coverage of the race on Saturday, June 11th between 5-7pm on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.
