Friday may be the most anticipated high school game in the history of Section II as Niskayuna and potential first-round draft pick Garrett Whitley visit Shen.

On the mound for the Plainsmen? Junior Ian Anderson. Anderson, having already committed to Vanderbilit, boasts a fastball pushing 90 MPH.

It will be a chance to see one of the area's most hyped pitchers against one the area's most hyped position players.

There could be 20 scouts in attendance from pro teams. There could be 50. There could be more.

Today, we talked to Shen head coach Greg Christodulu about the anticipation of the contest, what makes both Anderson and Whitley so good, the pressure of being No. 1 in the state and much more.

Christodulu says he has had several different places reach out to him about the meeting, including USA Baseball, who has an eye on Anderson.

The game is 4:15 at Shen's "Plainsmen Park."
