While all the attention goes to the Capital Region baseball players who are in professional baseball (Jaime Schultz, Jeff Hoffman, Ian Anderson, Garrett Whitley, etc.), lets not forget about the guys in college, like Shen grad Justin Yurchak.

Yurchak is hitting .323 currently for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League which is the nation's premiere collegiate summer league. He also made the league all-star game - all of this after sitting out this past college season.

Yurchak played his freshman season at Wake Forest and played well before electing to transfer to Binghamton. He joined Rodger Wyland today to talk about what it was like to sit out a season, his decision to transfer, his experiences on the Cape and if MLB teams have started calling yet about a potential spot in next year's draft.
