As reported by our friends at CBS 6 sports, Shenendehowa star baseball player Ian Anderson has been invited to Game 4 of the World Series.

The reason? Anderson was a member of the 18-U National Team that won the gold medal in Japan this September.

Anderson and his teammates will be attending Game 4, which will be held in a National League venue. Thus, Anderson will going to Citi Field (Mets), Dodger Stadium (Dodgers) or Wrigley Field (Cubs).

Anderson is among the top seniors in the entire country. The Prep Baseball Report has him as the No. 1 recruit in New York for his class and he has been ranked No. 3 in the entire country.

Anderson has already committed to Vanderbilt, one of the top programs in the entire country, but he's likely going to be drafted very high in next June's amateur draft.

The real question is, will he go to college, or will he immediately go pro like Garrett Whitley of Niskayuna did this year.
