Last week, Shenendehowa freshman Stevo Poulin won the state wrestling championship in his weight division, closing out an impressive first year. His 49-1 record has everyone asking just how high his ceiling is.

Jason Franchuk at the Times Union reported on the Shen star's impressive weekend at the state championships earlier in the week, and concluded that he 'is clearly in line for reaching his goals of winning a state title every year'

I can't disagree that he has the potential to take down the title three more times in three more years. But, as with many high school student-athletes, the big question is not whether or not Poulin has the physical talent to win four in a row. Rather, the task ahead of him will be to maintain the mental discipline needed to come back aggressively after a year in which he dominated almost all of his competition. His coaches will play an important role moving forward to keep him focused and ready to win.

Can he do it? We'll have to wait and see.
