San Diego wasn't as nice to Mitch Buonaguro's team as he had hoped. The Siena Saints dropped their final game at the NUCDF tournament to the host team on Sunday 79-60 to finish up tournament play.

O.D. Anosike showed up in a big way with 19 points but his mates lagged behind. Siena trailed almost the entire ballgame.

The Saints had no answer for San Diego's Johnny Dee who scorched the Saints for 27 points including four hits from the three point area. Ken Rancifer totaled 13 points and Cameron Miles chipped in 10 for the home town Toreros.

Siena lost two games in the tournament. They trailed most of the way in the last battle. At halftime Siena was down by 12.

They managed to stay within shouting distance even though they couldn't get over the top. Down nine with just over five minutes left San Diego was able to pull away one final time as Miles and Rancifer hit baskets and Dee converted two foul shots. Chris Anderson finished off an 8-1 run for SD that blew the game open and gave San Diego a huge 75-59 lead with just over two minutes left.

Anosike finally had a huge offensive game and was a monster on the glass with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Rob Polle was the only other Saint in double figures with 12 points.

San Diego, from the West Coast Conference is now 3-2 while Siena drops to 2-3. Siena now takes their Thanksgiving break before their next ballgame on November 25th at Maine against the Black Bears.
