Siena Gets Slammed Again-This Time By Fairfield

Fairfield University is  known as the Stags. After last night that only one's "Stag-gering" are the Saints of Siena. Final score from Bridgeport: Fairfield 74  Siena 52. Another debacle in a season of debacles.

Siena was never in the game. Down 13 at the half. Derek Needham scores 31 to lead Fairfield to the win. The Stags shot over 50% adding to the defensive woes and lack of scoring for Siena. the Saints are now 0-13 when the opponent shoots over 40%.

Evan Hymes led the Saints with 14 points. Siena is a dismal 6-20 overall and just 4-11 in MAAC play, while the Stags are a very respectable 16-11 and 8-7 in the conference.

O.D. Anosike had just 5 points and 6 boards. Joining Hymes in the double digit scoring column were Imoh Silas who had 10 points and Trenity Burdine who chimed in with 11.

Siena has lost 4 straight and 7 of 9 overall in this latest tailspin. earlier this year they went through an 11 game losing skid. The Saints have just 4 regular season games left, starting this Saturday when they will host Loyola Maryland at 7:00 p.m. at the Times Union Center...
