Sunday is a big day and night in the Capital Region for a number of former Siena Saints greats. It's the day several will be inducted into the Capital Region hall of fame.

Michelle Blot-Karawanga played 108 games in her Siena career, scoring over 500 points, nearly 350 rebounds and is ranked 6th all time in womans hoops in 3 point percentage.

Josh Duell-he began his college basketball playing career at Vermont in 2005 then transfered to Siena after 2 years. he led Vermont to a stunning upset win over Syracuse. he transfered to Siena after his Sophomore season. With the Saints he was part of a group that pulled big upsets over Vanderbilt then the next year Ohio State.

Carmen Maciariello transfered to Siena after playing 3 years at New Hampshire. In his 1 year at Siena he helped the team secure a tie in the MAAC regular season.

Howie Tucker who dates his days at Siena back to the 1930's and 40's. He was the 1st player elected to the Saints Hall of Fame. he starred for Siena from 1938 until 1942. he led his teams averaging 15 points per game on a club that scored about 40 per ball game.

Jack Weaver played with Siena back in the 50's-from 1956 until 59. In his best season he averaged 17.1 PPG.

Also being inducted is head coach Mike Deane. he coached Siena from 1986 until 1994 and posted a record of 166-77 for a win percentage of .683 which is 3rd best  for the school in division 1.

The event begins with a cocktail reception at 4.30pm and goes till 6pm. The induction ceremony dinner is after that. Tickets are 50 dollars each. if you want more information you can call 518-877-5170
