After a 6-week search, Siena College has a new assistant men's basketball coach.

Tobin Anderson has been hired by the Saints and will now join Mitch Buonaguro's staff.

The 39-year old brings 12 years of head coaching experience to Loudonville.

Anderson was previously the head coach at Division III Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. since 2004. 

During his tenure at Hamilton, he posted a 118-63 overall record in seven seasons. Hamilton won the Liberty League regular-season title in 2006, 2007 and 2009, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 in 2006 after claiming the league's championship. 

Prior to his time at Hamilton, Anderson served as head coach at Clarkson University in Potsdam from 1999-2004. He enjoyed the best five-year record in the history of Clarkson basketball (67-66), leading the program to its first three postseason bids. 

Anderson graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. in 1995 and received his master’s degree from Florida State in 1996. He graduated as the fourth all-time leading scorer in Wesleyan history.
