We are right around the corner from basketball season, as both Siena and UAlbany open up the season in less than a month. On Wednesday, the MAAC released it's preseason polls and Siena finds itself in fifth on both the men's and women's side.

The men are coming off a season in which they finished eighth in the league with a record of 7-13 in the conference. There's more optimism this season as the Saints are healthy - they dealt with a multitude of injuries in 2014-15. They also have another year in the system of Jimmy Patsos.

Siena should be well prepared for league play this season, as they are opening up against Duke and Wisconsin this year.

On the women's side, the Saints are picked fifth. Under head coach Ali Jacques, the team advanced to the CBI Finals a year ago.

It's been a good run for the Saints in the CBI, as the men won the tournament two years ago.
