For the 3rd time in 4 years the baseball player of the year in the MAAC hails from Siena University.

Mike Fish, a senior earned the honor at an awards ceremony Wednesday night. Fish hails from Delmar, New York.

Overall Fish is the 8th player from Siena to win the award. Siena leads the MAAC in such an honor.

Fish is having a solid season. he is 2nd in RBI and doubles and is 3rd in batting average at .374

While Siena leads the MAAC in player of the year awards it is the 1st such honor since 2011 when  the Saints Dan Paolini won the award.

Fish attended Bethlehem High in Delmar. In addition to the stats mentioned he leads the MAAC in home runs, hits, runs scored, total bases and finally slugging percentage
