Siena To Introduce New Women’s Coach on Thursday

Siena College will introduce the eighth women's basketball coach in the program's history on Thursday.

The school and former coach Gina Castelli mutually agreed to part ways, back on March 8. Castelli had been the coach for 22 seasons.

There is an unconfirmed report that the new coach is Ali Jaques, the associate head coach at Northwestern and a former assistant in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, at Rider.

Jaques has also spent time at George Washington, Furman, Sacred Heart and Dayton.

Siena Athletic Director John D'Argenio will meet with the media on Thursday to formally announce the new head coach.
