Not exactly a dream match up almost turned to nightmare but in the end the Siena Saints defeated Radford in OT Sunday at the Times Union Center 65-57. The loss snapped the Saints losing streak at 5.

Led by a surprise source, Davis Martens poured in 18 points, gobbled up 9 boards in leading the Saints to the victory. O.D. Anosike had a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards.

The bracket buster contest was pretty tight as you might expect between 2 less then mediocre teams. It took a late 9-1 run in OT before the Saints could feel good about a victory. That run snapped a 56-56 tie. Radford, from the Big South entered the game 12-16. They leave Albany 12-17 and with their 3rd straight loss.

Siena outscored Radford 11-3 in the extra period with 9 of those points coming from the foul line. Martens and Rob Poole scored all 11 Siena points in the tack on 5 minutes. Poole finished with 12 points.

The Saints last won a game back on the 1st of February against Manhattan. They close the month with this win. But it was the in between they would soon forget. For the month the Saints went 2-5. They close the season out with 2 games in March, starting with Marist on Friday. The Saints have a chance to catch the Red Fox's for 8th in the MAAC conference. Presently they are 7-21...
