Check out this video of a soccer player kicking an attacking fan.  The goalkeeper was ejected from the game for defending himself against the crazed fan.

Here's the deal.  Goaltender Esteban Alvarado was attacked by a fan during a Dutch Cup match between AZ Alkmaar and Ajax.  On a side note, I'm a huge fan of the Dutch soccer club AZ Alkmaar.  Anyway, the wacky fan literally attacked Alvarado.

Normally, you'll see wacky fans run around without trying to attack players during sporting events in the United States.  Derek Jeter wouldn't get kicked out of a game for defending himself and fighting back against an attacking fan.  However, that's exactly what happened to the Costa Rican goalie.  He received a red card and was tossed from the match.

AZ Alkmaar manager Gertjan Verbeek pulled his players out of the game after Alvarado received the red card.  Ajax was leading 1-0 in the 38th minute.  I can't blame Verbeek.  If you're a fan, why not keep attacking players from the opposing team until the whole team receives red cards?  Crazy.
