First year defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz made the Bills defensive unit one of the best in the league last year. And now, just like that, he's gone. The Bills opted to go with a defensive-minded Rex Ryan as their head coach and with that decision, Schwartz is out the door, despite the attempt to keep him by Ryan.

It makes sense that those two personalities probably aren't the best under one roof but there has to be a little bit of 'what could have been' syndrome from Bills fans after Schwartz took this Bills D to a whole new level, without linebacker Kiko Alonso.

Oh Jim Schwartz, we hardly knew ye in Buffalo.
