NYSPHSAA has released its latest boys' basketball state rankings. James Allen compiled them for the Times Union but we'll give you the information on which local teams are present in the lists. Rankings were as of games played Jan. 9.

Class AA: Shen 12-0, is ranked No. 3 in the state. They won the state title a year ago and appear primed for another deep run in the playoffs. Green Tech (5-2) is ranked No. 17 and they may be the only real threat to Shen in the Class AA playoffs.

Class A: Albany Academy is ranked No. 5 but they play an independent schedule. Scotia is ranked No. 7 but they did suffer their first loss on Tuesday. Troy comes in at No. 21.

Class B: Mekeel Christian comes in at No. 12 while Broadalbin-Perth is No. 13. Led by Joe Girard III, Glens Falls is No. 19. Voorhesville is No. 23 and Schalmont is No. 25.

Class C: Berne-Knox-Westerlo is the only team ranked, coming in at No. 14.

Class D: Fort Ann is No. 3, while Argyle is No. 8 and OESJ is No. 14.
