After a 2015-16 season that ended in a Final Four run, the Syracuse Orange basketball program now shifts their focus to the 2016-17 season.

The Orange tip off their season Friday Night against the Colgate Raiders at the Carrier Dome. Despite losing Malachi Richardson and Mike Gbinije to the NBA, the Orange enter the season ranked nineteenth nationally. Guiding the Orange again this season along the sideline will be Hall of Famer Coach Jim Boeheim.

Coach Boeheim will begin his 41st season as the head coach of the Orange program. The Hall of Famer told ESPN's Andy Katz back in September that his team this season is "The best team we have had in a long time". Coach Boeheim's group is projected to be led by DaJuan Coleman, Tyler Lydon, Tyus Battle and Tyler Roberson. The Orange will begin their ACC schedule on January 1st, 2017 against Boston College.
