One of the biggest upsets in college football this weekend was the Syracuse Orange defeating the seventeenth ranked Virginia Tech Hokies 31-17.  Syracuse was a double digit underdog entering Saturday’s game.  Syracuse was led by quarterback Eric Dungey who threw for over 300 yards and rushed for over 100 yards. I was in attendance for the game at the Carrier dome this Saturday as a fan.  This was the first time that Syracuse fans had run onto the field following a victory since the late 1990s when the then Orangemen beat Miami to win the Big East Conference Championship. That Syracuse team was led by many future NFL players including Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. The win was coach Dino Babers’ third as the head coach of the Syracuse Orange this season.  Following the game coach Babers’ speech to his team was broadcasted by ESPNU. The video bellow shows the Syracuse locker room after their victory.

Syracuse travels to take on Boston College this Saturday in Chestnut Hill.  Kickoff is set for 12:30pm.
