Well that 3 game win streak went by fast. The Devils with 3 consecutive wins including their 1st 2 comebacks of the year in the 3rd period came to a sudden halt Wednesday night in Syracuse as the Crunch slam the Devils 6-0.

Netminder Keith Kinkaid didn't have it on this night playing just 2 periods and stopping just 10 of the 16 shots he faced. Jeff Frazee cleaned up playing the 3rd period. Syracuse Goalie Riku Helenius shutout Albany making 24 saves.

A 1-0 game quickly came apart for Albany as the Crunch scored 5x in the 2nd period. It was also a poor night for the Albany special teams. Syracuse scored on 4 power play chances and had 10 opportunities in the game. Meanwhile the power play was 0-6.

Albany also announced a pair of roster moves. The parent NJ Devils sent back to Albany center Andrei Loktionov. Also the NJ Devils reassigned on loan left wing Harry Young to Albany via Kalamazoo.

The Devils return to the ice Friday with a game against rival Adirondack at 7:00 p.m.. Albany is 6-1-0-1 against the Phantoms this season so far.
