The Syracuse Orange lost 68-65 to the 17th-ranked Michigan Wolverines Tuesday night in the ACC/Big Ten challenge.

Syracuse rallied from 10 down in the second half to tie the game up 63-63, with a minute reaming in the game. Michigan's Spike Albrecht banged in a 3-pointer with 31 seconds remaining to put Michigan ahead. Syracuse responded with a Michael Gbinije lay-up. After Michigan's Derrick Walton missed the one-and-one, Syracuse's freshmen Chris McCullough threw the ball out of bounds with 15 seconds remaining.

Michigan would go on to miss another one-and-one, just for Syracuse to have another young mistake made. This time by freshmen point guard Kaleb Joseph who lost the ball while driving to the basket. Michigan would go on to make their final two free throws and take the win.

Trevor Cooney led the Orange with 16 points. Syracuse (5-2) play its next game at the Carrier Dome against St.Johns (5-1).
