After dropping a 2-1 game in Springfield in a shootout the Albany Devils took their act into Atlantic City and promptly lost again in a shootout, this time to their rivals, the Adirondack Phantoms, 3-2. Over 5,000 people packed the Boardwalk hall to watch their Phantoms reduce the lead in the Time Warner Cable Cup series to 4-2 in favor of Albany...

Not one player on either roster will get too geeked over the Time Warner Cable cup except to say "it's a big win" but the rivalry between the Adirondack Phantoms and Albany Devils is worth this TWC Cup and Albany now leads the season series 4-1 over the Phantoms after a 4-3 win in Glens Falls Friday night...

Published reports in the July 17th edition of the Times Union are saying that the Albany Devils could be looking at perhaps relocating the franchise to Glens Falls if ticket sales don't pick up.

The Albany Devils, SEFCU and the American Cancer Society have joined forces for the on-going battle against cancer. The Devils will host “American Cancer Society Night presented by SEFCU” Saturday, March 3. The game features the Devils and Time Warner Cable Cup rival, the Adirondack Phantoms, at 5 p.m.

Buckle your seatbelts Saratoga - the Phantoms are coming! Well, actually - it's the Adirondack Phantoms.  The AHL club will play a preseason game in Saratoga Springs later this month.

The AHL will have a new look when the season kicks off in October.  The divisions have been realigned and the playoff format has been changed.   The AHL's structure will consist of six divisions of five teams each which matches the NHL's alignment.
