Andrew Platek is leaving Guilderland. The guard is heading to Northfield Mount Hermon Prep School in Massachusetts and will reclassify as a junior.

Staying back as a junior means that he will have an extra year of high school to endear himself to more college coaches

Catching Up With the Sectional Champs

The Shen boys' basketball team captured its first Section II title since 1996 on Tuesday when they topped Guilderland, 47-42 at the Times Union Center.

The win was also the first Sectional title win for the Suburban Council since 2000

Sectional Round-Up: Green Tech Goes Down

As we predicted on "Armen and Levack" yesterday, No. 2 Guilderland has advanced to the Class AA Boys' final by virtue of beating No.1 Green Tech in overtime, 68-62.

I finally got the opportunity to go out and watch some high school hoops last night, and man, was I impressed.

I went to Troy High to watch Guilderland take on the flying horses. Guilderland won the game 58-46 against an undermatched Troy team missing its two best players, but that doesn't mean the Dutchmen didn't come away looking very impressive
