49ers Release Wide Receiver Braylon Edwards

The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the many surprises in this 2011 NFL season.  They have had many standout players, but former Jet Braylon Edwards has been a bit of a disappointment so the team officially released him yesterday.

Former New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards has signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.  The Jets may have regressed by signing Plaxico Burress instead of Braylon Edwards.

Plaxico Burress Signing A Great Move By The Jets

On Sunday, the New York Jets signed Plaxico Burress to a 1-year, $3 million dollar deal. 

The former New York Giants wide receiver, who served a 20-month sentence at an upstate New York prison on a weapons-possession conviction, chose the Jets over the Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.

It's a great move for Gang Green.
