Former Michigan and NFL standout Braylon Edwards has made headlines for his life-saving efforts at a YMCA late last week.

The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the many surprises in this 2011 NFL season.  They have had many standout players, but former Jet Braylon Edwards has been a bit of a disappointment so the team officially released him yesterday.

Former New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards has signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.  The Jets may have regressed by signing Plaxico Burress instead of Braylon Edwards.

On Sunday, the New York Jets signed Plaxico Burress to a 1-year, $3 million dollar deal.  The former New York Giants wide receiver, who served a 20-month sentence at an upstate New York prison on a weapons-possession conviction, chose the Jets over the Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. It's a great move for Gang Green.

There is no sense in having an honor code if you're not willing to punish anyone who violates it. Carson Palmer is acting like a weenie.

The Jets pulled off the biggest upset of the playoffs this season by beating the mighty Patriots at their own place. They talked the talk all week. On Sunday, the Jets walked the walk.
