Baseball is  my favorite sport. I just love it.So much I could watch the KC  Royals take on the Oakland A's in September when both are long eliminated. However baseball outside of hot stove talk is also the 1 sport where  i detest almost everything off the field about the game...

There are some of you that are Yankee fans, who wear "pinstripe-colored glasses" 24/7 and will protest today's announcement from the Baseball Writers of America. However, for those of you who are open-minded and objective with your judgment on who wins MLB postseason awards, this story should come as a no-brainer.

The Detroit Tigers finally had their bats come alive against C.J. Wilson and the Texas Rangers as they defeated them 7-5 to win game 5 and force game 6 in the ALCS in Texas on Saturday.

After a two hour and 13 minute rain delay, the Rangers came out on top after 11 innings in game four of the ALCS.

Great offense and great pitching from Doug Fister helped the Detroit Tigers defeat the Texas Rangers 5-2 on Tuesday night in Game 3 of the ALCS.

The Texas Rangers and the Detroit Tigers played game 2 of their ALCS a day late due to the rain and boy was it worth the wait for the Rangers. They were led by Nelson Cruz, who belted two home runs in the game, including the walk-off grand slam to win 7-3.

The Detroit Tigers suffered a pretty big blow despite having game 2 of the ALCS postponed yesterday.  They will be losing outfielder Magglio Ordonez for the rest of their 2011 playoff run.

Rain has once again played havoc with the ALCS as the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers will now play game 2 of the ALCS on MONDAY starting at 4:19PM.

The Texas Rangers were able to hold on for a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers, and most importantly Justin Verlander to win game one of the ALCS.

The Detroit Tigers defeated the New York Yankees and won game 5 of the ALDS by a score of 3-2. The Tigers will next face the Texas Rangers in the ALCS beginning Saturday. What went wrong for the Yankees in this game and series? What changes should be made for 2012?
