The Heat topped the Spurs in an epic seven-game series.  The Blackhawks took care of the Bruins in six games, with multiple games going to overtime, Game One going to triple overtime, and Game 6 being won thanks to two Chicago goals in the last 17 seconds of regulation...

When things go wrong in the media world, the 24-hour- news cycle is often deemed culpable. Our fast paced society craves new facts concerning new events to digest on a new tablet with the new news app from a new blog from a new media company. Not coincidentally, a lot of nonsense gets flagged as worthwhile news to satiate hungry media consumers.

LeBron James now has two NBA titles and has played in four NBA Finals.  He can opt out of his current deal with the Heat next Summer.  No matter where he plays, he will have a chance to win championships because he is the best player in the game right now and that team's front office will likely do its best to build around him to win those titles...

The Miami Heat repeated as NBA champions Thursday night, with LeBron James also repeating as series MVP. Michael Jordan, the player LeBron James is most often compared to, won six titles in his career, so James still needs four more to even out that score. Can he do it?

Fear not Heat fans. Cackles about my predictions are vastly over rated. In fact I have been pretty flawless in the NBA playoffs. I had the Heat taking out the Spurs in 7 from the start of the playoffs. I will stick with that pick. I am enjoying the chatter today about the mega game 7 for the NBA title...

So it has come down to this.  Heat and Spurs and Spurs and Heat.  Game 7, what sports fans love.  You can hate the officials, blame players or coaches for strategies that went bad or yell about anything else like fouls that were or weren't called...

Dad loves sports.  Lucky for Dad this Father's Day weekend, there are plenty of sporting events.  Stanley Cup Finals, U.S. Open golf, NBA Finals and a plethora of terrific Major League Baseball games.  What are you most looking forward to watching this weekend...

You listen to most of sports talk radio and you would think the Miami Heat are playing the Miami Heat in the NBA finals. On top of that if the Heat lose a a game well the world is coming to an end. When the Spurs lose, as they did game 4, it is still only about the Heat...

2 great teams. Some all time great players. 2 franchises that have had lots of success. However so far we have had 1 lousy finals. 2 straight games we have had blow outs. Miami crushed San Antonio game 2. The Spurs turn right around and crush the heat in game 3...
