Otto Porter to the Washington Wizards at #3 was the only thing you could find on mock boards everywhere in terms of trying to predict the 2013 NBA Draft.  Everything else?  Crapshoot. Flat-out crapshoot.

The NBA Draft is all about potential.  Unlike the "win now" and next year theory of the NFL Draft, the NBA Draft is all about two years from now and beyond, unless of course you are getting LeBron James.  Who are some "lock" future stars in this league out of this year's draft?  I have five and here they are.

As most of the experts predicted, Anthony Davis of Kentucky went to the New Orleans Hornets as the number one draft pick in the this years NBA draft.

All signs point to the New Orleans Hornets taking Kentucky standout Anthony Davis with the first pick of Thursday’s NBA Draft. Davis is widely considered to be the most NBA-ready player in the crop of players vying for the top spots. If the Hornets do select Davis, he’ll instantly be shouldered with the burden of turning around the struggling franchise.

With their only pick in the NBA Draft, the New York Knicks selected Georgia Tech guard Iman Shumpert with the 17th overall selection. Did this pick address the Knicks' need for a center, a lockdown defender or a shooting guard?  Not so much.

Get ready Sac-Town, here comes Jimmer! The Sacramento Kings selected Jimmer Fredette with the 10th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. The Glens Falls native was actually drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks but his rights were traded to Sacramento as part of a 3-team deal.
