Ray Allen is the best three point shooter of all time. But no shot in his entire career was more meaningful to his team than the one he hit at the end of regulation in last night's Game Six of the NBA Finals. A miss would have resulted in the Heat's elimination. Instead, he buries the shot, the Heat win in overtime, and we are going to Game Seven.

Game Five of the NBA Finals saw the return of Manu Ginobili to the spotlight, as he played his best game of the year in the most important game of the year. That, combined with Danny Green becoming the most prolific three point shooter in a single NBA Finals ever, propelled the Spurs to a win and a 3-2 series lead. Tonight, we will either have a new champion, or a Game Seven.

After Game Four of the NBA Finals, we know as much about the fate of this series as we did prior to Game One. The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat have exchanged punches, alternating victories in each game of this series. Tonight, we have a pivotal Game Five in San Antonio, with the winner forcing their opponent to sweep the final two games in Miami to claim the championship.

After their embarassing game three loss, the Heat would probably benefit from a different approach. There is chatter coming from Miami that they may move Lebron James to center and start Mike Miller, which would create some intriguing matchup difficulties for the Spurs ...

Tony Parker has been a bit of an enigma in the NBA Finals with his inconsistent play, yet it is undeniable that the San Antonio Spurs are a better team with him on the court. Despite being listed as questionable with a strained hamstring earlier today, Parker says that he is ready to go and will take the floor in Game Four of the Finals tonight.

When we last left you after Game Three of the NBA Finals, we left you in a state of confusion, after a surreal game in which two role players for the San Antonio Spurs outscored the entire starting lineup of the Miami Heat en route to a blowout win. It was such a blowout, in fact, that Tracy McGrady played for the second straight game.

For every bit as close as Game One of the NBA Finals was, Game Two was the opposite, when a 33-5 run during the third and fourth quarters propelled the Miami Heat to a resounding victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Tonight, the teams square off in a pivotal Game Three that will give the winner the inside track to the title.

So let me see if I have this straight. The LA Clippers  the Memphis Grizzlies,nd the Denver Nuggets notorious losing franchises for the most part  have nice success this year to some degree and yet  fire their coaches for all intents and purposes...

In some completely not surprising news, the television ratings for this year's NBA Finals are down from last year's, in which LeBron James and Kevin Durant had a literal and figurative clash of the titans to decide the 2011-2012 NBA championship. But did the Tony Awards help to ruin the ratings for last night's Game Two?

The Miami Heat finally began to assert their will in the NBA Finals during a 33-5 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters. The run gave them the first double digit lead for either team in the Finals so far. LeBron James, despite having a weak offensive game, punctuated the run with this violent block on a Tiago Splitter dunk attempt.

When we last left you after Game One of the NBA Finals, Tony Parker was hitting amazing shots, analysts were lamenting the downfall of the Heat, and many were questioning the masculinity of Chris Bosh (this happens after every game). Today, the Heat look to draw even with San Antonio to send the series to the home of the Spurs in a 1-1 tie.

When you talk about the best players in the NBA, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker rarely comes to mind due to the fact that he plays in a small market. However, shots like the one he hit to clinch Game One of the NBA Finals are great reminders that he is one of the league's best talents.
