An Evening of Champions
If you like monstrous home runs, last night's Home Run Derby was a fun night for you. If you like stories about true life champions, well then you really enjoyed the show. New York Mets' Pete Alonso and Baltimore Orioles' Trey Mancini provided all of the athletic theatrics and moon shot home runs that any fan could ask for plus a story line that was worth the price of admission.

Father’s Day Brings Baseball Memories to Life
My love of sports came from my dad. He was an avid baseball fan who spent much of his childhood at the Polo Grounds rooting for his beloved New York Giants, before they moved to San Francisco in 1957. Unfortunately, reports came out in the 8th that deGrom left the game with “right flexor tendinitis.” There is no word on the prognosis. We will keep you updated on The Drive with Charlie and Dan.

“Generation K”: The Haunting of the Mets
The Mets organization has been haunted by major blows to their pitching staff for decades. Do you happen to remember “Generation K”, Bill Pulsipher, Jason Isringhausen and Paul Wilson? Probably not, because there wasn’t much to remember, at least with the Mets. All went down with injuries and did little to nothing for Mets fans ever again.

Mets Place Jason Bay And Mike Pelfrey On DL
When it comes to the Mets these days, most news is that of the bad kind.  The Mets will be without the services of left fielder Jason Bay and Pitcher Mike Pelfrey for at least 15 days as they have been placed on the disabled list. Bay was put on the 15-day DL after an MRI showed a fracture the left side of his rib cage...
