The Detroit Tigers suffered a pretty big blow despite having game 2 of the ALCS postponed yesterday.  They will be losing outfielder Magglio Ordonez for the rest of their 2011 playoff run.

The Texas Rangers were able to hold on for a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers, and most importantly Justin Verlander to win game one of the ALCS.

Are the St. Louis Cardinals blaming shadows for their loss to the Philadelphia Phillies?  It sounds like they are, and the most notable complainer is first baseman, Albert Puljos.

St. Louis had a late rally, but the Phillies were able to hold them and grab the 3-2 win on the road.  They now lead the Cardinals 2-1 and are one step closer to the NLCS.

The Texas Rangers have bounced back after being rocked by Tampa Bay in Game 1 to take a 2-1 series lead, and now has a chance to close things out at home and move onto the American League Championship Series for the second year in a row.

The Brewers are wasting no time in the 2011 postseason.  They got off to a quick start in game 2 and kept up the momentum with a 5 run 6th inning which put the game out of reach for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Cliff Lee has been lights out all season, and most of his career.  The St. Louis Cardinals found a way to get to Lee and were able to rally past him, while the Cardinals defense was able to hold the Philles to just 1 hit after Chris Carpenter gave up 5 hits and 4 runs early.

General Manager Jerry Reese says the Giants will be a playoff team for the first time in three years.  He also says that fans are in panic mode.

After being in television news for over 15 years, I can honestly say that you never know what's going to happen during a liveshot. This is the best TV liveshot I've ever seen and it involves one of my good friends.

Miami's 2-0 series lead over Boston in the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals isn't a fluke. The Heat look like a well-rested club while the Celtics look - well, just old.

Good call – Paul Pierce should have been ejected. That's right, the Boston Celtics forward was tossed from yesterday's game #1 against the Heat for a good reason.

The Knicks first playoff series in 7 years didn't last long.  Boston defeated New York on Sunday, 101-89 on Sunday to win the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series, 4 games to none. A promising season ended with a thud.  So what's next for New York?
