Taking a look back at the first Sunday of the 2012 NFL season, there were a number of surprises throughout the league. The Buffalo Bills started the season 5-2. They started Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, up 21-0 after one quarter. Unfortunately, for the Bills the NFL season, or a game for that matter, doesn't end after one quarter. The Bills ended the season 1-8 and they saw the Patriots score 49 unanswered points to hand them one of the most lopsided defeats of the year, 49-21, in Foxboro, Mass.

I like to say a good Sunday is when the Giants win. A great Sunday is when the Giants and Jets win. The perfect Sunday is when the Giants win, The Jets win, and the  Dolphins lose. Well the opposite of that is misery. Color me miserable on this Sunday...

The Buffalo Bills collapse is complete. Actually, the Bills had already been eliminated from the postseason heading into Sunday's game against Miami. The Dolphins earned their second win of the year over the Bills, 30-23, and in the process knocked Buffalo into last place in the AFC East...
