It was one and done for the Siena lacrosse team in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. Top seeded Syracuse held off the pesky Saints in the 1st Round at the Carrier Dome, 10-4.

For the 2nd time in 3 years, the Siena men's lacrosse team is in the NCAA Tournament. For the 2nd time in 3 years, the Saints will again have to play Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship.

After a 6-week search, Siena College has a new assistant men's basketball coach. Tobin Anderson has been hired by the Saints and will now join Mitch Buonaguro's staff.  Check out the interview from Wednesday (5/4/11) on "Sound-off with Sinkoff."

The Siena basketball season doesn't start for another 7 months but the Saints have already begun to prepare for the upcoming campaign.

Siena College's Dan Paolini is Siena's new homerun king. Yesterday, the junior outfielder broke the school's all-time homerun mark in just 2 1/2 years.

Former Siena head basketball coach Paul Hewitt is now the former head coach at Georgia Tech. Today, Hewitt was fired after 11 seasons with the Yellow Jackets.

The road to a 4th straight MAAC Tournament championship will not be easy for Siena.  The Saints earned the 7th seed in the upcoming conference tournament and will now have to win 4 games in 4 days to return to the NCAA Tourney.

My 2 1/2 year old son, Zachary, played drums with the Siena band @ halftime of Saints/Maine game on Saturday, February 19th, 2011 at the Times Union Center.

After grabbing 20 rebounds in Siena's loss to Loyola last night, senior forward Ryan Rossiter is now the Saints all-time leading rebounder. Check out Brian Sinkoff's interview with Rossiter after the game.

It's only January 4th, but last night's 73-67 win over Iona could be the defining win of the season for Siena. The Saints found themselves down 13 points with about 5 minutes to go in the 1st half and then something magical happened.

Siena's upset 62-57 win over Georgia Tech last week was their biggest regular season win in the history of the program.  And it just might make people realize that Mitch Buonaguro was a good choice at head coach after all.
