The final tally of the Baseball Writers Association of America's National Baseball Hall of Fame ballot will come out next Tuesday. On that list is a 'who's who' of Major League Baseball records and accomplishments. The MVP, CY Young and other awards owned by the list of ballot members could sink a ship. However, many of the names that own much of that prestigious hardware are in danger of their time on the Hall of Fame ballot expiring with induction.

I have been going to Cooperstown every year since 2002 for Hall of Fame Weekend, one year as a fan and the other 10 as a media member.  Not this year. No living members were inducted (first time since 1965) so I bagged it.  And even from afar, it had the feel of a very different weekend.

Earlier today, the National Baseball Hall of Fame announced the 37-man ballot for the 2013 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Among the 24 first-year eligible players are notable "suspected steroid users" Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa...
