Former Siena Coach Fran McCaffery Explodes On The Sidelines [VIDEO]

Fran McCaffery is arguably the most successful coach in Siena Saints history. During his short time in the Capital Region McCaffery won three MAAC regular season and tournament championships, which quickly attracted the eyes of many major college programs. In 2010 McCaffery accepted the Iowa Hawkeye job, determined to turn around that program in the Big 10.

Well, today McCaffery is making headlines, and it’s not because of his coaching. Check out this epic tantrum that Fran threw last night in a 75-71 loss to Wisconsin, where he nearly struck an official. According to Iowa’s Athletic Director the coach “crossed the line” but still has the support of the department. Fran has issued an apology.

Iona Blows Biggest Lead In NCAA Tournament History

For the first half, it looked like no one could stop the Iona Gaels.

For 16 minutes, the Gaels played about as good as any team could, facing BYU in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Then, the wheels came off the bus and the Cougars roared back, completing the comeback, with a 78-72 victory and advancing to face Marquette, on Thursday

The Siena baseball team's amazing run in the MAAC Tournament ended with a 5-1 loss to Manhattan in the league championship game on Saturday night in Trenton’s Waterfront Park.
