There are several reports that the New York Giants are close to an agreement on a contract extension for their head coach, Tom Coughlin. How much longer do you think the 65-year-old Coughlin should coach the G-Men?

Tom Coughlin and rapper Flavor Flav shared a warm moment after Super Bowl XLVI.  I'll be honest; it made me cry a little bit.

In this edition of our Super Bowl Preview, we break down the game's match ups, unit for unit.

It was as great a game as you'll ever see (overstatement).  It was one of the most brilliant displays of quarterbacking brilliance as has ever been witnessed (dramatic overstatement).  It was as important a regular season win as there can be (enormous overstat- No.  That one seems just about right).  37-34 Giants.  Insane.

In the throes of a three game losing streak, and mired in a swamp of injuries, poor effort and mediocrity, the Giants will host the undefeated Packers.  Oh boy.

Well...They won the damn game.  What can you say?  It was ugly.  It was frustrating.  It was harder than it should have been.  It was as disappointing as a win can possibly be.  But it was a win.  They won the damn game.  This is Diary of a Giants fan.  Follow me on Twitter @JoeBianchino

…And on the seventh , rested.  This Sunday’s NFL landscape will feature no Giants triumph, no crushing loss, just a week of rest for the men of Big Blue.  They’ve entered the bye week at 4-2 and atop their division.  During this week off I offer you some reflective comments and some fun over/under prop bets…that I’ve just thought up.

Well. That was...interesting.  The Giants took the field Sunday looking to back up an emotional win against Philly with another against Arizona.  In what was the absolute definition of a roller coaster game the Giants took a gift from the Gods and found a way to snap victory away from the jaws of defeat.  This is Diary of a Giants Fan - @JoeBianchino

New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.  Umenyiora lists himself differently.

Well Giants fandome, the G-men are 2-1 after a surprising win in Philly last week. Sunday they'll travel to the desert to take on the rather low-flying Arizona Cardinals. The Cards come into the game 1-2 after a "You've got to be kidding me" loss to the Seattle Seahawks and their should-be CFL quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. At first glance it seems the G-men should win easily. Not so

It was an ugly, ugly, brutally ugly game in the Meadowlands Monday night.  And not that great old time, bruising, smashmouth type of ugly typified by the '86 Giants, who's Super Bowl win was celebrated at half time.  This was just good old fashioned sloppy ball.  But hey, they got the win.  So who cares what it looked like?

I know it's only one game but after yesterday's 28-14 season opening loss to the Washington Redskins, the Giants have more questions than answers right now.
