For the second time in New York's history, a tornado tore through the state during the month of February. This time, it happened in Broome County.

A very eventful weather day this afternoon into tonight

Another round of severe weather impacted our weather on Sunday. This time, it was in the form of a tornado. I came across this video on facebook as it was tagged to a local meteorologist. This woman happened to be at the right place at the right time to capture the twister on video. Watch the video as the  tornado make its way across the New York State Thruway at Amsterdam.

We have some severe weather in the Albany area this evening including a tornado watch. A watch is not as serious as a warning but you can be sure if this turns into a warning (or other severe weather develops), we’ll do our best to pass along information on the air and online.
