Talking Sectionals With Shen Coach Tony Dzikas

The Shenendehowa Boys basketball team just finished a perfect regular season at 19-0, winning the Suburban Council, and steamrolling much of the competition along the way.

Shen boasts one of the deepest rotations in Section II and we spoke to head coach Tony Dzikas today about how he handles that rotation, what it's like to have the dynamic Huerter brothers on his roster and the atmosphere behind the ultra-hyped mid-season matchup with Guilderland.

We also got Dzikas's opinion on the greatness of the Scotia program and Joel Wincowski potentially breaking Jimmer Fredette's all-time Section II scoring record.

Shen earned the No. 1 seed in Class AA. The winners of a first-round bye, they'll play the winner of Columbia and Schenectady on 2/28.
