With seconds left, Marcus Smart shoved Texas Tech basketball fan Jeff Orr.

It was reported that Smart went back to the bench and told his coaches that Orr used a racial slur.

Texas Tech has sent out a release, indicating that they have verified a racial slur was not used.

The same statement also stated that Orr has volunteered to stay away from Tech games for the remainder of the season.

"My actions last night were inappropriate and do not reflect myself or Texas Tech - a university I love dearly," Orr said, via a statement. "I regret calling Mr. Smart a 'piece of crap' but I want to make it known that I did not use a racial slur of any kind.

"Additionally, I would like to offer my apologies to Texas Tech fans that have been embarrassed by the attention this incident has created."

Smart has been suspended three games by both Oklahoma State and the Big 12.

Here's another view of the Smart incident, released by Texas Tech. Is that "piece of crap" that we hear uttered at :18 seconds?
