5 Ugliest Uniforms in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament: Only One Can Be The Worst

First of all, being a lifelong resident of the area and a supporter of the University of Albany basketball team, I would like to congratulate the Great Danes on their making it to the big dance! It was a hard fought year, and a great performance in their play in game in Dayton. I wish them luck against Florida.

With all that said, we HAVE to talk about the uniforms. Really?  I wondered this as I began to write a "Go Albany" type post about the team making it to tournament and when I went to find a picture of the team winning last night, I just couldn't get past the uniforms.

The Great Dane uniforms are just plain bad this year, I feel for them. The only thing I can think that might be a bright spot is that perhaps they serve as such a distraction to the opposing team it gives the Danes more of a chance.

So that got me scouring the internet to find a college basketball team with an even WORSE uniform and I have come up with my top 5. These are ranked from  5 to 1, with number 1 being the ugliest.

5. Oklahoma State:  Just not a fan of the fluorescent numbering or it's race car style...

4. Marquette:  They are not horrible but clearly someone went just a bit too far with the accent stripe.

3. Oregon: We all knew this was going to make it into the top 5.

2. New Mexico: Why is the grey accent stripe ONLY on one side? The orange and gray combo...no.

1. Albany: Ugh.
