3 out of 4 points isn't bad. Finding your offense is real good. Both happened for the struggling Albany Devils over the Weekend as they split a pair of games against St Johns IceCaps in Newfoundland.

In the Friday contest, Albany fought back  from a 2-0 deficit to force the shootout which they lost 2-1 but picked up a point in doing so. The Devils have picked up points in 4 of their last 6 games after this contest. Jay Leach and Adam Henrique scored to knot the game up at 2. St Johns went back ahead 3-2 but Jacob Josefson tied thr game and forced OT with a goal at the 17:58 mark of the 3rd period. Another good sign was the dormant power play which was scoreless in 33 straight attempts. Henrique's goal snapped that skid. They scored twice with the man advantage in  the contest.

The Devils came back on Saturday to beat St. Johns 5-3 in regulation to finish off the weekend. Jacob Josefson and Darcy Zajac scored in the 1st as the Devils bolted out to the lead. The win gave Albany points in 5 consecutive games.

Zajac scored twice for the Devs. Adam Larsson, Josefson and Bobby Butler also netted goals for the Devils. Captain Jay Leach had 2 assists as did Adam Henrique and Brandon Burlon.

The Devils holiday road trip continues Friday night in Rochester against the Americans. Face off is scheduled for  7:05. The game can be heard on 1045 The Team, ESPN Radio
