Well this won't be a Thanksgiving to remember for the Albany Devils. Falling behind early, a penalty kill that was stuffed, a power play that produced nothing, and a loss in Rochester Friday night 5-2.

For Albany it was their 1st non conference contest and it was no contest. Rochester got 1st period goals by Brian Flynn at 6:14 and 15:23 started the beat down.

Steve Zalewski attempted to get the Devils back in the game scoring  with just over 5 minutes left in the 2nd period but any hope of a comeback was thwarted with the 1st of 2 short handed tallies with just over 30 seconds left in the frame by Rochester's T.J Brennan who beat Devs goalie Jeff Frazee on a 2-1 break. Brennan scored another shortie and Flynn scored an empty netter for the hat trick and final of 5-2.

It was yet another night of nothing special if not horrible special teams by the Devils. 0-5 on the power play and 2 short handed against won't make for a happy team. Net minder Frazee lost his 1st regulation decision since October 19th.

The Devils return home to the Times Union Center to tangle with the Syracuse Crunch Saturday night. Face off is a bit early at 5.05 pm.
