One of the many storied sports franchises the Capital Region was once proud to call our own was the Albany Patroons. The Patroons were a very successful Basketball team that was once coached by NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson. The Patroons played in the Washington Armory and won titles in 1984 and 1988. The team would hang it up in 2009 but they're back now!

"The magic is back" and so is Mr. Patroon Derrick Rowland. Rowland who is still the Patroons career scoring leader is now the head coach and is ready to share the magic with Albany once again. The Albany Patroons are coming off a season opening win on the road against the Rochester Razorsharks 110-92!

The Patroons Home Opener is this Saturday…a rematch against the Razorsharks at the Washington Avenue Armory.

Doors open at 5:30pm and tip off is at 7:05pm.
