The Buffalo Bills got themselves a new pass rusher to fill the void left by Mario Williams who left in free agency this off-season. With the 19th overall pick, the Bills selected Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson.

Lawson (6'3", 269lbs) was a force to be reckoned with on Clemson's defensive line. The consensus All-American was among the top in the country when it comes to tackles for loss and sacks. The Bills look to add him on the opposite side of Jerry Hughes.

Strength: Lawson can set a strong edge and help stop the run game and get to the passer as he uses his long reach. A very powerful defensive end, Lawson can shed blockers easily with his quick hand movements off the point of attack.

Weakness: Lawson needs to maintain a low pad level when rushing. Lawson is also a guy that can get fatigued throughout games and will need to have better conditioning to be effective late in games.

Potential: Lawson can become an elite power pass rusher. Fitting well into the scheme of Rex Ryan, Lawson will be given a number of opportunities to come off the edge in a variety of formations (even standing up) and can overpower linemen on his way to the backfield.

Lawson will likely be a starter right away and help the Bills defense out in a variety of areas. This was a great pick for the Bills.

What do you make of the Bills selection of Shaq Lawson at #20?
