Oh did Chicago raise Kane. Or better yet it was Kane that raised Chicago. Behind 2 goals from Patrick Kane Blackhawks dumped the Bruins Saturday night 3-1, and now lead the Stanley  Cup finals 3 -2.

Game 6 will be back in Boston on Monday night. Chicago goes for their 2nd cup in 4 years. The Bruins re trying to win their 2nd Cup in 3 years.

Regardless of what the stat sheet says in terms of hits, Chicago never looked as if they were being physically manhandled by Boston. The Hawks won the face off stat and the shots on goal stat (32-25). The Bruins dominated the hit category  53-22. The game did not feel like it though. Chicago had the better chances and whatever was ailing Corey Crawford in game 4 certainly didn't come back in game 5.

Crawford gave up 5 goals to the glove side in game 4. In game 5, Zdeno Chara bea him glove side but Chicago held a 2-0 lead at the time. Chara's goal made it 2-1 and it stayed that way until the Hawks iced it with an empty netter with 14 ticks left. Dave Bolland got credit for that score.

Kane scored in the 1st period after a scramble in front he managed to get to a loose puck that got behind Boston Golie Tuuka Rask and he steered it in the net to make it 1-0 Chicago.

Kane who started slow in the post season then scored his 7th goal in the last 7 games in the 2nd to make it 2-0. Jonathan Toews had a pair of assist in the game

Both Toews and Boston star Patrice Bergeron saw limited time late in the 2nd and the 3rd period because of " undisclosed" injury. Bergeron in fact went to the hospital with his issue. All Bruins management would say is the proverbial " upper body" injury so as not to tip off Chicago for game 6, if-IF Bergeron plays.
