Things could not have played out any worse for the Giants this season and, in particular, the last week. A miscommunication, let's call it, between owner John Mara and head coach Ben McAdoo resulted in Eli Manning's consecutive starts streak to end at 210 for an appearance by Geno Smith of all replacements. Now with McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese gone, Eli is back in the starting saddle, but for how long?

Have these recent events of betrayal created too great a divide between the greatest quarterback to ever wear Giants blue and ownership in order to continue together beyond this season? Is Eli now willing to embrace the role of mentor to whichever quarterback the Giants select in the draft next spring?

Perhaps most importantly, WNBC's Bruce Beck answers the question he asked Mara during Monday afternoon's press conference: what has happened to the Giants way?
