4 days off to rest and recharge was not the recipe for success for the Albany Devils. Back from the AHL all star break the Devils drop a 5-1 decision to the Bruins Friday night.

The Devils began their season long 6 game road trip by continuing their struggle against Providence. The Devs are now 0-1-0-2 vs the Bruins this season.

A scoreless game for most of the 1st period, the Bruins scored twice in 1:03 late in that 1st. Goals by Maxime Sauve and Torey Krug closed the period for the Bruins.

They opened that lead to 4 after 2 periods on Sauve's 2nd goal of the game and a tally from Ryan Spooner.

The Devils avoided being shutout early in the 3rd on a goal from Tim Sestito his 6th of the year. Bobby Butler helped set up the goal, this right before he was called up by the parent club, the New Jersey Devils. New jersey returned Matt Anderson to Albany.

Keith Kinkaid who had been red hot before the break stopped 33 shots. The loss was only his 3rd in 17 games.

Albany continues their 2nd half and play game 2 of the trip against the Portland Pirates on Saturday in Portland, Maine...
