The New York Giants kick off its three day mandatory minicamp Tuesday morning, and it looks like unsettled defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul will not be in attendance.

Pierre-Paul has skipped all of the Giants voluntary workouts this offseason while working out instead at home with his personal trainer. This comes after Pierre-Paul was designated as the team's franchise player just before free agency. He has been seeking a long-term deal since the season ended and still has not signed the franchise tender, which means he's not on the roster and is not required to attend the minicamp.

The Giants have said on multiple occasions that they will not be bullied by the market value. If Pierre-Paul and the Giants can't agree on a long-term deal before July 15, they can't negotiate again until after the season. Pierre-Paul's would then be forced to play 2015 on his one-year, $14.813 million franchise tender or sit out the season. The Giants have had enough injuries already, locking up Pierre-Paul needs to become a priority.
