We are only six games into the new NBA season and the New York Knicks are already a mess. Players aren't buying into the triangle offense that team president Phil Jackson insists they run, because those same players don't feel they fit the system. But the real reason the Knicks are underperforming stems from their lack of defense. The Knicks are one of the worst defensive teams in the league giving up nearly 110 points per game, and until they improve on that end of the floor, they aren't going anywhere. Sure, the Knicks have playoff roster on paper, but they're hardly playing it. And it shows the most when they're trying to get stops.
