The New York Rangers have been on absolute fire this season. Monday night's 3-0 win against the Nashville Predators, was the team's ninth straight home victory. Something that hasn't happened since the 1971-72 season.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves, and forwards Rick Nash, Derek Stepan and Kevin Hayes scored in the victory."I already could tell this morning in practice just the way he [Nash] was shooting the puck and around the net; he's hungry, and I'm just happy for him," Lundqvist said. "He deserves it the way he's been working and making so many good plays. Now the goals are coming, so it's great to see."

The Rangers now sit at 16-3-2, it's the team's best start through 21 games in franchise history. They take on the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night. The winner will take sole position of the number one spot in the eastern conference.
