Things seem to be on the upswing for the Siena Saints men's basketball team.

After 3 years of what seemed to be stuck in neutral under the former head coach Mitch Buonaguro, new head coach Jimmy Patsos has things shakin and bakin a bit. Siena will be involved in a very nice pre conference basketball tournament, the Old Spice Classic.

The tournament is played in Orlando, Florida, home of Walt Disney, and gets college hoops fans to itself at Thanksgiving time.

The field is stacked with big time opponents. they include Butler, LSU, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Purdue, St Joes, and Washington State. Some real power in this field.

Siena last appeared in the Old Spice back in 2006 but lost 3 straight games to Tennessee, Wichita State, and Oklahoma State. However it could be argued that playing in this field set up Siena for the regular season as they won the MAAC and defeated Ohio State in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament.

The school also announced their are travel packages available if you want to get out of the cold and take the family or just some pals to Orlando for T day, some hoops, some Mickey Mouse, and some fun. You can contact the school for more information on those travel packages.
